Better leisure centres to offer free entry on National Fitness Day
Better leisure centres are joining sport and leisure facilities around the country in supporting National Fitness Day on 25th September.
Now in its ninth year, National Fitness Day is a ukactive initiative, aimed at inspiring people around the UK to take part in exercise, whilst raising awareness of the importance of leading healthier and more active lifestyles.
Better leisure centres around the UK are taking part, opening their doors for a range of free sessions, to introduce people to different ways of getting more active.
This includes free swimming at all Better pools from 12pm-2pm and free gym sessions from 2pm-4pm. Visitors can also take part in a free fitness class.
Marco Coppola, National Health & Fitness Manager said: “We are delighted to once again support ukactive’s National Fitness Day with a range of free taster activities across the UK.
“Better Leisure Centres exist to provide affordable, accessible community facilities. With growing concern for the lack of physical activity among British people and an ageing population who can improve their health and wellbeing by staying active, it is now more important than ever that we engage as many communities as possible, to get more people more active more often.”
