If you are a Year 10 Student living in Eden, you can apply for a free Passport to Leisure card giving you the opportunity to take part in a range of leisure activities at Penrith and Appleby Leisure Centres.
What is the Passport to Leisure Scheme?
The two year Passport to Leisure scheme gives all students in years 10 and 11 living in Eden the opportunity to take part in a range of activities at Penrith Leisure Centre and Appleby Leisure Centre, to help keep you healthy and active.
The scheme is run by Better in partnership with Eden District Council.
All year 10 students are eligible to apply for a FREE Passport to Leisure card that lasts for two years (valid from 22nd July 2019 until 30th June 2021)
What activites are included?
- A programme of FREE gym sessions at Penrith and Appleby Leisure Centres between 22nd July and 3rd September 2019

- FREE swimming every day during public swimming times.
- A FREE Passport to Leisure card which is valid until 30th June 2021 and entitles you to 20% off most activities at any Better leisure centre in Eden.
- FREE access to tennis and putting at Penrith Castle Park.
How to Apply
1. Complete an application form at either Penrith or Appleby Leisure Centre before 30th June 2019
2. Your card will be valid for use from 22nd July 2019
Retain your card until its expirty date to take full advantage of these offers as unfortunately replacement cards cannot be issued.
Students in Year 11 would have received BeActive cards last year which will remain valid until June 2020. Lost cards can be replaced however charges apply.
