Why is the booking system changing?
We’re improving the way you book activities online to make it simpler and easier to find what you’re looking for.
What is changing?
You’ll now choose a facility first (for example, Main Pool), then select your activity.
Previously, you selected the activity first.
When will this happen?
The update is being rolled out in stages across our locations.
During your centre’s update period, you may see two different booking options. Once complete, only the new booking journey will remain.
How do I book during the update?
If you see two options:
- For current week bookings, use the activity-first option
- For future bookings, use the facility-first option
Why am I seeing two different ways to book?
This is part of the rollout process while we update the system. It’s temporary and will settle once the update is complete at your centre.
I can’t see my activity - what should I do?
Some activities may not appear temporarily while updates are being made.

Which centres are affected?
The following centres are included in the week commencing 8 June 2026 rollout:
Hackney
- Britannia Leisure Centre
- Clissold Leisure Centre
- Hackney Marshes Centre
- Kings Hall Leisure Centre / Better Gym Hackney
- London Fields Lido
- Mabley Green
- Queensbridge Sports and Community Centre
- West Reservoir Centre
- Herts Young Mariners Base
Islington
- Archway Leisure Centre
- Beacon High School
- Cally Pool and Gym
- Finsbury Leisure Centre
- Highbury Leisure Centre
- Ironmonger Row Baths
- Islington Tennis Centre
- Sobell Leisure Centre
How will I know if my centre is affected?
If your centre is included, we’ll contact you by email on Sunday before the update starts.
This will explain what’s changing and what to expect.
Will this affect my existing bookings?
No - any bookings you’ve already made will stay the same.
Do I need to do anything differently?
Only during the update period:
- Follow the guidance depending on your booking date
- Once completed, you’ll always book using the new facility-first journey
