TVP Anti-Theft Bike Tagging Service at Newbury Better Health & Fitness Centre
Newbury Better Health & Fitness Centre is delighted to announce its partnership with Thames Valley Police to host a free Anti-Theft Bike Tagging event on Wednesday 10th June, taking place from 2pm-7pm at the centre on Park Way, Newbury.
As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting the health, wellbeing and safety of local residents, we are pleased to offer this free community initiative to both centre members and the wider Newbury area. Cycling continues to be a popular choice for fitness, commuting and leisure, and taking steps to protect bikes from theft is an important way to help cyclists enjoy greater confidence and peace of mind.
Throughout the event, Thames Valley Police officers will be available to provide free bike tagging services, along with practical advice on bicycle security and crime prevention. Bike tagging helps create a unique identification record for each bicycle, making it easier for police to trace and recover stolen property. In addition, visible security markings can act as a deterrent to potential thieves, reducing the likelihood of bikes being targeted.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet members of the local policing team, ask questions and receive guidance on effective measures they can take to safeguard their bicycles. Whether you are an experienced cyclist or simply enjoy occasional rides, the information provided can help you better protect your property.
Newbury Better Health & Fitness Centre is proud to support initiatives that encourage active travel while helping to create a safer environment for cyclists across the community. Events such as this bring together residents, local organisations and community partners to raise awareness of bike security and contribute to reducing theft in the area.
Attendance is completely free and there is no need to book in advance. Simply bring your bicycle to Newbury Better Health & Fitness Centre at any time between 2pm and 7pm, where the team will be on hand to assist.
We look forward to welcoming members and local residents and working together to help make Newbury a safer and more cycle-friendly community.
