Visually impaired tennis

Visually impaired tennis (VI tennis), is delivered through Ulster Tennis free of charge. It is an adapted form of tennis designed for individuals who are blind or partially sighted, featuring modifications to the equipment to enhance accessibility and enjoyment.

Adaptations: The game is played on a smaller court with a lower net compared to traditional tennis. Players use an audible ball that makes noise when it bounces, allowing them to track its movement.

Player Classification: Players are classified based on their level of sight loss, ranging from B1 (totally blind) to B5 (partially sighted). Depending on their classification, players may have different rules regarding the number of bounces allowed before returning the ball.

If you or someone you know would be interested in this please contact, Simon @ 07851282210.
