Charity Walk for Rowan

Last weekend Jesus Green Lido proudly supported local based arts charity Rowan as they completed their annual sponsored walk around Midsummer Common that started and ended at the lido.

Many people joined them for their walk as the sun shone down, with donations that raised a staggering £3390! The walk culminated with refreshments and cakes at the lido café where we were honoured to give them the donations from our own event, the annual summer solstice swim, which raised £235. We would like to thank the Chesterton College orchestra for once again serenading our late evening swimmers with their beautiful playing and our customers for their generous donations that make a real difference to all the art students at Rowan.
