Sheepmount Athletics Stadium on Mayors Drive is Cumbria's go-to hub for athletics and grassroots football, around 10 minutes on foot from Carlisle city centre. The outdoor athletics track meets Track Mark standards and hosts everything from club training to competitive events, while football pitches support local teams and school matches throughout the season. Our gym focuses on athletic strength training with equipment that complements track work and sports performance. We partner with primary and secondary schools across the area, plus local running clubs, triathlon groups and athletics clubs use the facilities regularly. The outdoor throwing cage was added to meet current regulations. We're open weekday evenings from 3pm to 9pm, making it easy to fit training around your day.
