New Senior Social Club Launching This August at Better Heworth Leisure Centre

Heworth Leisure Centre is delighted to introduce its brand-new Senior Social Club, launching this August. Designed to bring people together in a warm, welcoming environment, the club offers the perfect opportunity for older adults to socialise, meet new people and enjoy an hour of relaxed company each week.

The club will take place every Monday from 1.30pm to 2.30pm and is open to everyone, whether you’re looking to make new friends, enjoy a friendly chat over a cup of tea or coffee, or simply spend some time in good company. There will also be a selection of light games and activities for those who would like to take part, creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere for all.

Come and enjoy a tea or coffee, friendly conversation and a welcoming space where everyone feels valued. The Senior Social Club aims to help people stay connected with others in the local community while promoting wellbeing, reducing loneliness and encouraging new friendships.

The sessions are included free of charge for Better Senior Members. Non-members are also very welcome to attend for just £3.50 per session, making it an affordable way to enjoy regular social interaction and become part of a supportive community.

Whether you’re new to the area, looking to expand your social circle or simply want to enjoy a relaxed afternoon with like-minded people, the Senior Social Club is the perfect place to start.
