The team had a great time at this years' Lincolnshire Show this month, working together to showcase the services we offer across our centres.

It was great to be supported by colleagues from Birchwood and Yarborough, whose input helped strengthen the conversations we were having with visitors. Across the event, we promoted key areas of our offer, including Swim School, Healthwise, our Community programmes, and membership options.

A standout feature of our stand was the 6-Second Power Test on the Watt Bike, which proved to be extremely popular! We had a total of 197 participants across the two days (119 on Wednesday and 78 on Thursday), with lots of different people taking part, including school children, families, and armed forces personel.

Having staff on hand from Yarborough and Birchwood made a real difference, particularly when it came to answering questions about the Yarborough and Birchwood facilities, allowing us to provide more specific and detailed responses to potential new and existing members. A big thank you to all of the City of Lincoln colleagues who supported the event.

Our attendance also provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen connections with partner organisations. It was great to connect with Lincoln City Foundation, who were also in attendance promoting their Fighting Fit programme - supporting individuals who have experienced cancer and are able to access sessions from our centres. Their presence, alongside the display of the EFL League One trophy, helped bring in the crowds and also provided a great photo opportunity for those interested!

Overall, the event was a great opportunity to raise awareness of our services and strengthen connections with our partners and the public.
