Recently, Birchwood Leisure Centre hosted a Birchwood funday for the local community.
There was a great turnout for the centre.

We had a visit from the Lincoln MP, Hamish Falconer, who visited along with Laura Danese a local councillor for Birchwood and Jamie Cave a newly elected local reform councillor. The chair of the pride in place committee was also present on the day.

The day was packed with all sorts of activities including Parkour, Beatboxing and DJ classes, Pottery and crafts, football sessions and more, and then internally there was a free soft play and clip n climb.

Seeing the engagement from the children and teens during the event shows how much of a success the day had been and giving ideas for any future events to follow.

Community

Loads of the local community turned up in support of the funday and positive feedback was given throughout the day, with current members and non-members all enjoying the amazing day.

This had brought everyone together spreading joy and coming together to build frienships and build socials, making it an amazing hub for the area.

Many of the community have been speaking of the event since, spreading word of our amazing facility and the togetherness of the community
