Summer Open Weekend returns to Barking Sporthouse
The popular Open Weekend Returns to Barking Sporthouse & Gym – 18th & 19th July 2026!
Families, fitness enthusiasts and anyone looking for a fun day out are invited to Sobell Leisure Centre's Open Weekend on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July 2026. Enjoy a weekend packed with free and reduced priced activities, taster sessions and challenges for all ages and abilities.
Whether you're looking to get active, try something new or spend quality time with the family, there's something for everyone. Visitors can enjoy free Gym Day Passes, Soft Play, Multi Zone sessions, Climbing Wall activities and the Skate Park, alongside a range of fitness classes and personal training tasters.
There will also be fun competitions and giveaways throughout the weekend, with the chance to win prizes, including free hot drinks and slushies from the Café.

All activities must be booked in advance via the Better UK app or our website.
Wear the right gear, grab your water bottle, and bring your best energy – we've got the rest!
Non-members
Non-members can participate by creating a free account via the app or online at https://bookings.better.org.uk/register, then simply booking an available open day activity. As part of the registration process, customers must agree to the activity terms and conditions, which include a signed waiver granting access into the centre
