In light of Mental Health Awareness Week Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub are delighted to be adding to our timetable a Mindfulness session for our members to book into and enjoy.

This year’s topic for Mental Health Awareness Week is Loneliness so why not bring your friend, family member, loved one or neighbour along to try out this class with us or many of our other classes we run throughout the week at Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub.

Loneliness is affecting more and more people in the UK every year and most recently has had a huge impact on our physical and mental health during the pandemic.

Scientists have discovered that mindfulness techniques help improve your physical health in a number of ways. By practising Mindfulness regularly you can help relieve your stress, help to treat heart disease, lower your blood pressure, reduce your chronic pain, improve your sleep and even alleviate gastrointestinal difficulties.

Ria will be taking the Mindfulness session on Wednesday at 11:15, the session will be 45 minutes long.

You can book into this session now through the Better UK app or at the centre where a member of staff can talk you through the session and advise of the variety of classes we do throughout the week at Gunnersbury park sports hub. If Mindfulness isn’t for you we do lots of other classes including Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Boxfit and momay more.

We are very lucky to be situated in the middle of the Gunnersbury Park meaning we have stunning views which you will be able to admire just walking up to the centre as well as during your exercise activity for the day. Come along and give us a try next week.
