Better Swim Memberships
If it's just swimming that you're interested in, our single-activity swimming membership means you'll get unlimited access to swimming.
If you're looking to use the gym and classes too, we offer a wide range of memberships with options to suit every budget. Everything from Pay as you Go, to monthly or annual Prepaid memberships. What’s more, we won’t tie you into a long-term contract, giving you greater flexibility.
Swim for Fitness
We are lucky to have one of the most eye catching indoor pools with natural light during the day due to our glass roof and a well-lit but relaxing environment in the evening. This is the perfect pool if you’re looking for a low-impact way to get fit and healthy, with continuous lane swimming for over 11s. Our Swim for Fitness sessions take place in slow, medium and fast lanes, so you can take things at your own pace. The Main Pool is 1.5m deep and 25m in length, and is equipped with a hoist making it accessible to those who require it.

Our swim for all sessions takes place In our Training Pool. The Training is fully accessible with a Hoist. The small pool is advertised for families with Under 11’s. No matter your fitness ability, our Swim for All sessions are perfect if you're looking to build your confidence, work on your strokes, float away any stress, or just simple want to enjoy a more casual swim with your family and friends.

Swim for Women
We recognise that for some of our female customers swimming in a women’s only environment is their preferred way to exercise. That’s why we’ve committed to providing weekly women’s only sessions in our Main Pool. We have a variety of sessions including Swimming, Swimming lessons & Gym sessions available which are available Friday evenings.

Can’t swim or just not as strong a swimmer as you’d like to be? Many adults across the UK are learning to swim and enjoying a whole new world in the water.
Better’s adult swimming programme caters for all your swimming needs. With our range of adult swimming classes for all swimming levels, we’ll get you to where you want to be – whether that’s learning to swim for the first time, training for an event by taking intensive swimming lessons, or improving your technique with our adult senior swim classes.
Our fitness experts and swim instructors can coach you in groups if you want to learn with a friend, or individually, and you’ll be surprised how easy and fun it is once you get started.

Aqua Splash
Experience the excitement of Aqua Splash! Take on our inflatable obstacle course laid out on the Main pool for a day of splashtastic family fun on the water.
Designed for adults and children 8+ who are competent swimmers, Aqua Splash is a perfect day out for the whole family. It includes floats and plenty of pool space and caters to up for 30 people (including parents and supervisors).
This activity is available during half terms on Tuesdays 1.30pm-3pm!

We understand that every person is different and has their own goals to achieve in the water. That’s why, at Better, we offer private 1-to-1 & 2-to-1 swimming lessons with a qualified swimming instructor at a leisure centre near you. Our expert instructors create and tailor bespoke swim plans to help you or your child hit their targets. 1-to-1 lessons are subject to availability. Please contact your local centre for more information.
Due to the popularity of these lessons at Cally Pool & Gym, we cannot guarentee to have your desired slot available straight away but please do get in touch if you are looking to have private lessons with us.

ENSURE YOU GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR FITNESS SWIM
• Pre Cleanse
Please help us to keep your pool clean by following our Swim Hygiene guidelines by showering and using the toilet facilities before you swim.
• Respect
People of different standards and abilities will use the pool. Please respect their right to enjoy their swim.
• Speed
Choose your lane using the fast, medium and slow signs and by watching those already swimming. Before pushing off at each turn, check to see if anyone faster is approaching.
• Direction
Please follow the directional signs and move across to the appropriate side of the lane for each length.
• Space
Try and leave at least 5 metres between yourself and another swimmer and if it’s possible to see a pace clock, then a 5 second gap is just as good.
• Strokes
Wide stokes such as butterfly and breaststroke should be avoided when the lanes become busy. If you change to a slower stroke as part of your session, think about moving lanes.
• Equipment
Fitness swimming training equipment, such as fins and hand paddles, is permitted at the discretion of the lifeguard and based on capacity. Snorkels can be used in conjunction with conventional swimming goggles.
• Resting
Whether stopping for a rest or catching your breath after completing your swim, please be mindful that others using the lane will want to keep on swimming without stopping.
