On Saturday 30th March the New Morden Leisure Centre will be hosting an open day celebrating its official launch in the local community.  The open day will mark the closing of the old Morden Park Pools and the opening of the new Morden Leisure Centre.

The multi-million pound project has seen a state of the art leisure facility built in the picturesque setting of Morden Park, complete with a high spec gym, fitness class studio, two swimming pools and a Café & picnic area for all the locals to enjoy.

On the day will see the unveiling of a plaque commemorating the opening of the new centre, with the Mayor of Merton, Leader of the Council and Senior Officials from GLL there to officially open the centre to the public.

The open day will be held between 2pm-6pm and will feature an array of fun activities and taster sessions for the local community to take part in, including an outdoor fitness challenges and classes, a giant foot dart inflatable and much much more.
