Here at East Ham Leisure Centre, we believe it’s never too late to enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Whether you’re looking to improve your fitness, meet new people or simply try something new, we offer a welcoming range of activities for our senior members.

With a Newham Senior membership, you can access Better leisure centres across Newham, including:

Senior Coffee Morning

Join us every Wednesday from 10am–12pm for our Senior Coffee Morning at East Ham Leisure Centre.

Enjoy a tea or coffee with biscuits while catching up with friends and meeting new people in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

You can also enjoy a selection of board games or play badminton if you fancy being a little more active.

Whether you want to take part in an activity or simply enjoy a cuppa and a chat, everyone is welcome.

Senior Circuit Training

 

Join us for Senior Circuit Training every Wednesday, 12pm–1pm, led by Group Exercise Instructor Dave.

Designed with older adults in mind, this friendly and supportive class is a great way to improve your strength, balance, mobility and overall fitness.

Work at your own pace through a variety of exercises, making it a great way to stay active while exercising alongside others.

Whether you’re already active or looking to get started, come along and give it a go!

Annual Better Club Games

The Better Club Games bring together senior members from Better leisure centres for a fun and friendly day of competition.

Members have the opportunity to represent Newham and compete in a range of activities, including badminton, darts, swimming and more.

The Club Games are a fantastic opportunity to stay active, meet fellow Better members from other boroughs and represent your local community.
