London Pulse were mightily impressive in their narrow 37-42 defeat against two-time Vitality Netball Superleague champions Wasps at the Copper Box Arena on Monday night.

After two defeats on the bounce Wasps' head coach Mel Mansfield said that victory against Pulse was "essential" and her team left with the points but London Pulse can be very proud of the performance. Their young team has exceptional young talents that are quickly adapting the pace of the Super League.

Post game Head Coach Sam Bird was full of her praise of the team stating that she “genuinely absolutely loved that game, this is London Pulse, this is what we can do. Of course, we’re frustrated that we didn’t get over the line but… every other club knows we are a threat. I’m just really proud of the way the players played today, they played a fantastic game.”

Earlier in the day Loughborough Lightning showed their class in a comfortable victory over Surrey Storm with a scoreline of 53-28.

The two matches concluded another busy round of Vitality Netball Superleague at the Copper Box Arena and if you missed any of the action you can watch them back in full on the Sky Sports YouTube channel.
