On Thursday the 1st and Friday the 2nd of April, the London Aquatics Centre hosted the Friendly Nations Challenge GB vs CAN 2021 where Team GB diving competed against the Canadian Diving Team.

A virtual online event which involves a live stream between the London Aquatics Centre, the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh, Scotland and The Centre Sportif au Parc Olympique in Montreal, Canada.

A total of 37 divers took part over the two days from 4 nations, with 14 Team GB team members and one South African athlete competing at LAC. Team GB and a Jamaican athlete in Edinburgh and a team of Canadian athletes in Montreal.

 Due to recent COVID restrictions, Team GB have yet to experience a competitive environment prior to the major championships, which are also part of the Olympic qualification process and selection. 

 Divers participated in the event under a COVID safe environment whilst simultaneously diving against their competitors across the Atlantic.  A panel of virtual judges watched the athletes to score the live event as it happens.

Team GB proved themselves once again, taking home a number of top 4 positions in the finals.
