Waltham Forest Feel Good Centre is excited to announce an Open Weekend on 18th & 19th July 2026, inviting the local community to experience their state-of-the-art facilities and activities for free. If you didn't know we recently invested £250,000 into new Technogym equipment in the gym. This special event offers the perfect opportunity for residents to explore the wide range of services and programmes available at the centre, encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle for all ages.

During the Open Weekend, Waltham Forest Feel Good Centre will grant free access to their gym, swimming pool, fitness classes, and more, showcasing the centre's commitment to providing accessible and affordable leisure services to the community. Guests are encouraged to try out new activities, meet the friendly staff, and learn more about the various membership options available.

The centre's management team is looking forward to welcoming both existing and new members to this fun-filled weekend, emphasising the importance of staying active and engaged within the community. "We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy our facilities and programmess," said General Manager Danait Tsegaye. "Our Open Weekend is a great chance for residents to discover new ways to stay fit, make new friends, and improve their overall wellbeing."

In addition to the wide range of free activities, our Healthwise team will be providing free health checks for the public to book into on Saturday between 10am and 2pm.

On Sunday there is a focus for inclusive activity on the athletics track. Our community partners Firefly have their free weekly Frame running session for children with disabilities between 9.45am and 11am. Then after we have a free inclusive cycling session with Bikeworks which has been financed by Waltham Forest Council.   

Guests can expect to find something for everyone, whether they are seasoned fitness enthusiasts or just starting on their health and wellness journey.

What you need to know

Non-members can participate by creating a free account via the app or online via the button below:

Then simply booking an available open day activity. As part of the registration process, customers must agree to the activity terms and conditions, which include a signed waiver granting access into the centre.

The Day Pass can then be used to access activities on one of the days during our Open Weekend, either Saturday 18th or Sunday 19th July.

The pass will include access to: gym, fitness classes and swimming sessions including swimming lessons.

Multiple activities can be booked on the chosen day of the pass.

Whether you're looking to hit the gym, try out a new fitness class or enjoy a swim, take advantage of this opportunity to find your fit with us during the Open Weekend. Remember, after claiming your pass, to secure your space you'll still need to book into specific swim sessions and fitness classes including swimming lessons.

What do the classes involve?

What do I need to bring? 

Please wear comfortable and appropriate clothing for all classes. Please make sure you bring a towel and water with you. If you go for swim please make sure you have appropriate swim wear.

What if I have a health condition? 

Please make sure you let the members of staff know about any health conditions prior to activity. 

What if I have never been before? 

If you're new to any of the activities or unsure about using certain equipment, feel free to ask one of our staff members. We’re here to guide you. If you’re using the gym or taking part in any physical activities today, please ensure you’ve warmed up first. If you need guidance, our fitness instructors are here to help. 

Do I have to be a member?  

No, our open day sessions are open to everyone. Non-members can participate by creating a free account via the Better UK app or online at register then simply booking an available open day activity.
