Budding star continued
Liv joined the sessions having taken part in a few 5k events and showed a real love for all things running. With support from the coaches, Liv has developed a wider understanding of different running events in Athletics and has recently been competing in the sprint's events. Liv has been building up her confidence and is keen to learn more which is why we believe this opportunity has come at the right time.
The Para Academy programme aims to - Develop the performance characteristics of English para-athletes – Bring para-athletes across all events groups from the entire England Talent Pathway together to develop alongside peers with specialist technical and physical coaching. - Increase the number of para-athletes meeting the performance and behaviour standards required to progress to the UKA Para Futures programme or UKA Para Athletics World Class Programme.
Liv is delighted to have been selected for the 2026/27 EA Para Academy, and she is looking forward to the training camps and being with other para-athletes to train and learn with. She is hoping to learn how to progress further with her running techniques, set new targets and build on the foundations she has so far in running, to move to the next level of her development.
Liv says, “I can't wait to be part of the Para Academy 2026/27 and develop my running, and I am very much looking forward to next season to put into practice my learnings.”
