On Sunday 12th of July, Hough End Leisure Centre welcomed ProSportPlex's first-ever UK Football Camp, inviting young footballers aged 6 to 17 for an unforgettable morning of coaching, learning and inspiration.

The camp ran from 10:00am to 1:00pm, providing participants with the unique opportunity to train alongside Manchester City and England defender Rico Lewis, Manchester United Academy Coach Neil Harris, as well as other experienced coaches. Coaches with a wide range of skills designed to help inspiring footballers and athletes to improve in their confidence and develop their skill sets. 

Rico Lewis, who was born in Greater Manchester, came through Manchester City's Academy, made his senior debut in 2022 and has since established himself as one of the club's standout young players.

Rico was joined by his sister Sacha Lewis, who has just signed her first professional contract with Manchester City Womens Football Club 

The event was a fantastic success, with over 175 children enjoying a range of engaging training drills, skills sessions and interactive activities. The excitement throughout the day was clear to see, with every participant making the most of this incredible opportunity to learn from one of football's brightest young talents.
