Our pool will temporarily close over Summer

As part of Manchester City Council's ongoing commitment to providing first-class facilities for Manchester residents, we'll be carrying out an upgrade to our pool plant system over the summer at North City Family & Fitness Centre. 

This will mean that the pool and the jacuzzi in the health suite will need to temporarily close from Monday 13th July 2026 until Monday 7th September 2026, to allow these essential works to be carried out. 

Please note: All other facilities and activities at North City Family & Fitness Centre Centre will be available without disruption throughout this period.

Will swimming and swimming lessons be available? 

There will be a temporary pause in service for all swimming sessions, swimming lessons and the jacuzzi within the health suite. If you are a parent or guardian and your child attends Swim School, we will contact you separately with relocation information so that your child's lessons can continue.

We understand that this temporary pause in service for the swimming pool and the jacuzzi in the health suite at North City Family & Fitness Centre Centre may be disappointing, but we're committed to keeping you moving.

If you have a Better Health membership with us, you will receive a temporary membership upgrade during the pool closure period giving you access to enjoy a dip in the pool at our other leisure centres in Manchester: 

• Abraham Moss Library & Leisure Centre
• Arcadia LIbrary & Leisure Centre
• East Manchester Leisure Centre
• Hough End Leisure Centre
• Manchester Aquatics Centre
• Moss Side Leisure Centre
