We have the longest swimming pool in Newcastle, alongside a beginners teaching pool and a training tank.

We provide Better Swim School lessons for individuals of all ages, so you’re never too young or too old to learn to enjoy all the benefits that swimming brings. We also offer a great range of birthday and pool parties for a better birthday experience! Our centre also now includes family friendly changing rooms & a new fitness gym, offering a variety of fitness classes for all levels and ages.

Our Better Health and Fitness and Swim Only Memberships, payable monthly or annually offer an affordable option for a varied workout.

Gym

Our newly refurbished, fully equipped, air-conditioned gym at West Denton offers a range of fitness equipment for everyone. Our members can choose from cardiovascular machines such as treadmills and rowers, resistance equipment including free weights and dedicated stretching areas and fitness aids such as Swiss balls.

For a fitness programme tailored to your needs, just ask a Better fitness instructor and they'll be happy to put together a workout to suit you.

Before using the gym you'll need to complete an induction, so our fitness instructors can check you are well enough to train. As well this gives you the opportunity to get advice about other activities the centre may offer which could help you achieve your fitness goals.

Re-focus sessions are available to you at any time, where our fitness instructors will mix up your fitness programme. Did you know that keeping your workout more varied and challenging will actually keep you much fitter?

There's something for everyone with our wide choice of fitness classes, taking place every day in our airy studios, new gym and pool. With over 50 classes per week we think there's something for everyone.

Our membership packages include unlimited gym and fitness classes so you can enjoy a varied workout.

Outdoor Pitches

Our 3G pitches are a popular choice for teams sports including football and hockey. We also have after school and holiday activities for children and a range of local clubs using the facilities. Our all-weather pitches also have floodlighting.

Bookings are now made through our partner PlayFootball, and you can make your booking online HERE, or you can call 0333 577 4625. Online bookings can be made up to 7 days in advance and bookings can be made by phone during the following times:

8am-8pm Monday to Friday

9am-6pm Saturday & Sunday

Our sports hall is ideal for all kinds of sports and games and our great choice of gymnastics courses for adults, juniors and pre-school children offers the opportunity to try a new sport or progress with existing skills. Come and unwind in the relaxed atmosphere of our sauna - the perfect place to chillout. These treatments can assist with increasing blood flow, weight loss, cleansing, relieving stress and helping to relax body and mind. Luxurious showers, changing rooms and lockers are all provided.
