Junior Activities

Get them started young! Here at Sleaford Leisure Centre, we offer sessions that enable juniors to exercise in a fun but safe environment.

Juniors can swim during our Swim for All and Family Fun Swim sessions at Sleaford Leisure Centre and can also get our affordable Junior membership. This includes access to the Swim for All sessions here and at One NK Leisure Centre and Junior Gym sessions and Adult and Junior Gym sessions at One NK Leisure Centre and Better Gym Sleaford.

JUNIOR GYM

Build up those fitness habits early! Those on our Better Health Junior Partnership membership and over the age of 11 have access to our Junior Gym sessions here. These Junior Gym sessions take place throughout the week and weekend:

ADULT AND JUNIOR GYM

Why not train with your children? Our Adult and Junior Gym sessions allow juniors (between 11-17 years) to book into a gym session when accompanied by an adult (if the junior is 11-15 years old). The junior will need to be a pre-paid member and the adult can be a pre-paid member or book and pay for a gym session.

JUNIOR GYM INDUCTIONS

We offer bookable Junior Gym Inductions, Monday to Thursday afternoons. These are 30 minutes long and one of our fully qualified Fitness Instructors will go through health and safety information, gym etiquette and demonstrate the equipment that juniors are allowed to use.

JUNIOR GYM RULES

Juniors between the age of 11 and 15 must adhere to the following rules:

  • The Junior must have attended a Junior Gym Induction prior to attending the gym on their own (Junior Gym Sessions) or with an Adult (Adult and Junior Gym Sessions).
  • The Junior is able to use all the cardio machines and all the resistance machines however, the resistance machines must be set to the lightest weight setting.
  • Use of the functional equipment e.g. TRX, slam balls etc. is allowed however dumbbells must NOT BE USED under any circumstances.
  • Juniors between the ages of 11-15 in our Adult and Junior Gym Sessions must be actively supervised by the adult who is with them.

These rules apply to both Junior Gym Sessions and Adult and Junior Gym Sessions.
