Women's Only Gym

We recognise that for some of our female customers, exercising in a women’s only environment is their preferred way to keep fit. That’s why we’ve introduced a women's only gym facility at West View Better Health Leisure Centre.

Our women's only gym has all the equipment that you need to keep fit and improve your overall health including cardio machines, free weights, resistance machines and functional equipment. Toilet and changing facilities are also available within the women only space, if required.

Embrace the flow of natural body movements during this all-levels, ladies only yoga class. Learn to develop strength, flexibility and peace of mind as your teacher leads you through a range of postures and breathing exercises.

Swim For Women

We recognise that for some of our female customers swimming in a women’s only environment is their preferred way to exercise. That’s why we’ve committed to providing women’s only sessions at West View Better Health Leisure Centre. We have a variety of sessions throughout the week both in the morning and in the evening and weekend.

Women's Beginner Swimming Lessons

Whether you’re new to swimming or returning to the pool after a break, our ladies swim sessions will help you build your confidence in the water. 

Attending any class for the first time can feel intimidating when stepping outside your comfort zone, especially if you’re a beginner. At Better, you’ll find a range of swimming classes for women and girls, helping you get active in a friendly and comfortable environment. Our women's-only swimming lessons are taught by female swim teachers.

We also have classes at a range of times throughout the day to fit around your day.

Ladies Only Sauna and Steam Room

The health suite at West View Better Health Leisure Centre consists of a sauna and steam room, and is located just off poolside with a small relaxation space.

The steam room will help to relax, alter moods, ease muscle tension, cure and prevent cold and flu symptoms, combat stress. While the sauna not only feels good, it’s good for your body. Whether it’s the physiological changes that occur during the warmth of a sauna, or if it’s simply the time spent in the calming and still retreat of the sauna, every seasoned sauna bather agrees - it feels wonderful!
