Queen's Diamond Jubilee Centre Opens Doors as 'Cool Space' for Rugby Residents
The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Centre in Rugby has been designated as a 'Cool Space', offering residents a welcoming place to escape the heat during the summer months.
The initiative, run through Better Leisure Centres, aims to support the health and wellbeing of local communities during periods of high temperatures and heatwaves. With many parts of the country experiencing increasingly hot weather this summer, the centre is providing a safe and comfortable environment for anyone seeking relief from the heat.
Importantly, the Cool Space is open to everyone, including non-members, ensuring that those who may be vulnerable to high temperatures have access to a cool indoor location when they need it most.
Visitors can take advantage of a range of facilities during their stay, including free Wi-Fi, toilet facilities and comfortable seating areas. The centre's café is also available, offering a selection of cold drinks for purchase.
The scheme forms part of Better's wider commitment to supporting healthier communities and helping residents stay safe and connected during extreme weather conditions.
