Eleanor's Story at Hatfield Swim Centre

Eleanor has been a member here at Hatfield Swim Centre for numerous years, regularly swimming and attending our classes.
At the age of 54, Eleanor decided to start running and in 1988 she ran her first marathon with her husband Dennis. Since then the pair have completed well over 200 marathons, some of which have been 80 miles long! They have enjoyed taking part in races all over the country, even venturing abroad for some.
This year Eleanor and Dennis both participated in the London Marathon, raising money for Isabel Hospice. All of us here at Hatfield Swim Centre would like to say a big well done to you both on this incredible achievement.
