Climbing Wall

First visit
If you have climbed elsewhere and can already fit a harness, tie in to a rope and belay, all you have to do is come along and register. Energise climbing wall requires users to complete a competency check on their first visit to become registered, climbers must demonstrate all skills to a safe manner to pass. Once registered you may come and climb as you please.
Not an independent climber?
Climbers unable to complete a competency check may be signed in as a guest by a competent climber who can/ has previously passed a competency check. Max 2 guests per person.
To learn what's required to become an independent climber we recommend booking onto an adult beginners course.
Already a climber?
Why not book onto a lead climbing course?
For existing registered climbers the Thursday buddy session is 6pm-8pm every week. An instructor is present so you’ll get FREE equipment hire. The session is aimed at people climbing alone or in odd numbers as the instructor will be around to belay, answer questions and give advice.
Route Setting Days
The climbing wall is closed for route setting most Monday mornings till 12:30pm.
The final Monday of every month the bouldering wall will be reset till 4:00pm, the roped climbs and the auto belay will still be accessible all day during the boulder reset.
Please look out for signs put on the notice board (outside the climbing wall) for route setting date changes due to events or bookings.
