The Manchester Resident Pay as you Go Membership

If you are a Manchester resident and you swim in our pools, workout in our gyms, play on our courts, or kick around on our pitches, then this membership is for you.

Available to use across all of our leisure centres and elite national centres in the city, this free to have membership gives you up to 30% off non member prices.

What's more, for those aged 16 and under it enable free swimming every school holiday in our Swim for All sessions and at selected times at the weekend.

For those over 60, you can swim for free in Swim for All sessions all year round.

 

Eligibility & How to Apply

A Manchester resident is deemed as residing in the following postcodes: 

M1 M2 M3*  M4   M8
M9 M11 M12 M13  M14
M15** M16** M18   M19 M20  
M21 M22 M23 M40 M60

* Excluding Blackfriars, Salford
** Exluding areas in Old Trafford

Applying for your free membership is simple. One of our team can help you in centre or you go do it online by following these 4 steps:

1. Select your home centre from the list below and click APPLY NOW

2. In the Membership Type drop down select 'Pay as you Go'

3. In the Payment Type drop down select Single Payment

4. The Resident Pay As You Go options are all then displayed. Select the one that applies to you and follow the process through.

Proof of residency must be shown in the form of a Council Tax bill payable to Manchester City Council or a Utility Bill dated within the last 3 months. This must be uploaded within 20 days of taking out your membership. You will be contacted with details of how to do this.

If you are a Manchester resident and are aged 16 or under you are eligible to swim for free during school holidays. Similarly if you are a Manchester resident aged 60 or over you can swim for free all year round. Make sure you select the Resident option when applying for your card to ensure you receive these great benefits. Please note, if you are applying for these categories you will be required to prove age and residency when you collect your card or on your first visit to the centre.
