Why can't my child wear jewellery during swimming lessons?

For the safety and comfort of all swimmers, jewellery must not be worn during swimming lessons. Removing jewellery helps reduce the risk of injury to the wearer and others, prevents items from becoming lost or damaged. If jewellery cannot be physically removed or unable to remove due to religious reasons, it must be secured through tapping down or secured under additional clothing.
