Hundreds of pounds have been raised for Cancer Research UK this February across our local centres.

181 people attended a large Zumbathon class which took place at Bath Pavilion on Sunday 17th February. Instructors Jess Davies, Amy Young, Juliet Aubery, Siobhain Archer, Rosanna Hood and Lesley Gregory delivered the event which raised £1,300 for Cancer Research UK.

Samantha Lanning, who is Better's Bath and North East Somerset CRUK Champion said "We would like to say a big thank you to all involved in making the Zumbathon a massive success. The instructors did a fantastic job in creating a wonderful atmosphere and a brilliant spectacle. With 181 participants, raising close to £1300, we have raised vital funds for such a great cause, Cancer Research UK. Keep your eyes peeled for the next event".

The event followed a successful cake sale at Keynsham Leisure Centre which raised £300 which took place on Thursday 14th February.

Throughout 2019, Better are partnering with Cancer Research UK to help beat cancer sooner. Cancer Research UK receives no government funding for their research and solely relies on the generosity of the general public. As part of our exciting partnership, we are providing our customers and members a number of opportunities throughout the year to help us raise vital funds for life saving research.

Looking for a way to help fundraise for Cancer Research UK? Bath and Keynsham pools are both hosting Swimathon events this March.
