Junior Athletics Open Day with Commonwealth Athlete Josh Faulds
Families in Cambridge are set for an inspiring Sunday as Commonwealth Games athlete and European medallist Josh Faulds arrives at Abbey Leisure Complex for a special Junior Athletics Open Day Masterclass.
Before the action begins, Josh will be on site from 10am, meeting visitors, chatting with families and sharing stories from his sporting journey.
Following this meet‑and‑greet, Josh will lead two free junior athletics masterclass sessions, giving children the opportunity to learn movement skills, speed drills and hurdle basics directly from a GB international.

Sessions are free and must be booked online. Parents and guardians are required to stay and watch throughout.
The Junior Athletics Open Day is part of Better’s Commonwealth Games‑inspired weekend of community activities across Cambridgeshire, encouraging families to try new sports and get active together. Josh’s visit is expected to be one of the highlights, offering young people a motivating and memorable introduction to athletics ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
