Major investment at Pentwyn Leisure Centre is nearly complete
The major investment from Cardiff Council and GLL is nearing completion at Pentwyn Leisure Centre and we're inviting you to take a look at the fantastic transformation so far.
A brand-new 25m x 13m swimming pool, fitted with groundbreaking technology is now open. It has two movable floors, making it the first facility of its kind anywhere in the UK. The clever engineering means the pool can adjust its depth anywhere between 0.0m and 1.8m lengthwise, opening the door to a far wider range of swimming sessions and dramatically improving accessibility for people of all abilities. Plus, there's a dedicated slide has been built for younger swimmers designed to make a trip to the pool feel like a proper day out rather than just a swim.
Better Swim School also launches this September, so if you're looking for lessons for yourself or for your children, now is the time to get them enrolled.
Upstairs the gym has had a complete overhaul too, relocating into a larger, reconfigured space with dedicated workout zones to suit every kind of training style. The old gym area has a new lease of life as well, transformed into a fitness studio hosting a full weekly programme of classes.
And there's more still to come, with reception upgrades already underway to create a smoother, more welcoming arrival experience.
