In partnership with the Welsh Government we are able to offer free swimming for 4-16's and over 60's at the following times:
4-16's
School Holidays Monday-Friday 12.30-3.30pm & every Saturday 11.30am-3.00pm
Over 60's
Tuesday 11.45am-12.45pm
Pool Inflatable Parties
Get ready for an action-packed adventure on our pool inflatable! Challenge yourself to climb, balance, slide and race across this thrilling floating course, all while trying to stay out of the water. Perfect for kids, families, and friends, it’s fun, energetic, and full of laughter. Whether you're racing against others or just enjoying the challenge, it’s a fantastic way to get active in the pool.
Pool Inflatable Parties are suitable for ages 8 years + , all those taking part must be competent swimmers ( be able swim a length of the pool of 25m ) and are required to wear life jackets that are provided. For those who are under 8 or are non-swimmers they can use our 2 smaller pools. They must be supervised on a 2:1 ratio by an adult.
Parties are 3-5pm on Saturdays and 2-4pm on Sundays and includes 1 hour on the pool inflatable and 1 hour room hire. These party packages are self-catering.

Children's Swimming Lessons
Swimming is a vital life skill and available to everyone. Better offers swimming lessons for all ages and abilities, at reasonable prices. Our Learn to Swim framework is designed by industry experts to ensure the lessons are of the highest quality, fun and hassle free. With our 'Swimbies' classes from three months, to our 'Swim Doctor' lessons for adults, everyone is catered for on their learn to swim journey.
Family Fun Swimming
No matter your fitness ability, our Family Fun sessions are perfect if you're looking to build your confidence, work on your strokes, float away any stress, or just simply want to enjoy a more casual swim with your family and friends.
Swim for Fitness
If you are looking for a low impact way to get fit, swimming could be the perfect choice. Whatever your fitness levels, age or ability, you are sure to find a session suitable at Western Leisure Centre.
Our Swim For Fitness sessions take place in slow, medium and fast lanes so you can swim at your own pace.
Aqua Aerobics
Getting fit can be for everyone. Water based classes are a great alternative for those who are looking for a low-impact but still high energy workout. These sessions are great if you want to burn calories, tone your body while taking care of your joints and improving mobility. Water exercise will make you feel refresh and increase serotonin level to keep you not only fit but also happy, which is good for mental health as well!
60+ Swim
Over 60? Why not take advantage of our 60+ free swimming session funded by Welsh Government. It's the perfect way to connect with others in a relaxed environmnent, whilst keeping fit and active.
Adult swimming programme
Our adult swimming program is designed for all your swimming needs whatever your ability or confidence level. Whether you are a complete beginner, looking to improve your technique or training for an event, the Swim Doctor instructor will help you achieve your goals.
