Gymnasts from Penrith Leisure Centre travelled to Edinburgh to take part in the Open Scottish Apparatus Competition which took place on 28th and 29th September. Our gymnasts competed with the Scottish gymnasts for the open awards and some gymnasts for Scottish awards.

The gymnasts competed as both a Team and individuals in their appropriate age groups. The Team, Alexandra Brook, Elsie Attwood, Ashleigh Clarke, Rosa Ware and Isabella Fowles won Silver overall in the National Level 4 Espoir (Under 12). They performed their new Free routine with lots of artistry and improvements. They came 2nd in Free and 2nd in Ball routine.

More success followed for the Individual competition with Chloe Stephenson and Sadie Tierney winning Silver and Bronze respectively in the Level 1 Under 10 Group. Sadie was also eligible to compete for the Scottish awards and she was crowned Scottish Champion in her level and age group. For the under 8's, Zofia Wiglusz performed a beautiful routine and showed great improvement.
