Tyson, a member of the Concierge team at Highjhgove Pool and Fitness Centre, recognised that the members needed opportunities to focus on their mental wellbeing as well as their physical development. Inspired by this vision, he organised the Mind, Body & Soul Wellbeing Event, bringing members together for an afternoon dedicated to movement, mindfulness and connection.

Created to help people reconnect with their own wellbeing while strengthening relationships within the centre community, the event was open to adults of all ages and fitness levels, reinforcing Tyson's belief that physical and mental wellbeing should be accessible to everyone.

Tyson's passion for creating positive experiences and bringing people together was evident throughout the day. He welcomed all 22 participants, encouraging them to embrace each activity, and step outside their comfort zones by trying something new.

The event featured three 45-minute sessions, each offering a different approach to wellbeing. Participants began with an energising Body Conditioning class, followed by a Pilates session designed to improve strength, flexibility and mobility. The day concluded with a deeply relaxing Sound Bath, delivered by Allie.

During the Sound Bath, participants were ‘bathed’ in the soothing vibrations of Tibetan singing bowls, chimes and gongs. This meditative experience allowed the sound waves to resonate throughout the body, creating a calming, multisensory environment that helped participants relax, lift their mood and promote a greater sense of balance and overall wellbeing.

The event was a fantastic example of how physical activity and mindfulness, plus a shared pursuit can create something experience. one participant Poppy commented that it was 'a great event ......it was  fantastic to try classes I haven't done before and have the opportunity to socilise with like minded people.'. Another attendee, Anne Elizabeth,  said ' it was worth attending and I am looking forward to future events. It is a great way of building a community of people who share common interests. I would highly recommening atten ding.  The overwhelmingly positive feedback has inspired Tyson to make wellbeing events a regular feature at Highgrove Pool and Fitness Centre, with plans already underway for future sessions - so watch this space!
