What to expect at your ice skating lesson

What will I learn?

Every level focuses on different skills so everyone can feel comfortable on the ice. Beginners will learn key techniques like how to sit, stand and walk on the ice. Intermediate and more experienced skaters can build on the fundamentals by practicing skills like forwards and backwards skating, forward and backwards stopping and jumps.

What should I bring?

The best equipment you can bring with you for ice skating lessons has to be warm clothes, padded jackets and trousers, with gloves of course. This will not only keep you warm but help to break your fall if you do manage to fall over the odd time.

If you don’t have your own, you can also hire ice skates at all our rinks.
