Islington football coach Nasia Adams has won Coach of the Year. The award is voted for by his fellow coaches within the Islington Football Development Partnership and is a reflection of his hard work over the past year. It was presented to him by the previous winner, Chloe Copsey.
Nasia started working for the team as part of the GLL traineeship scheme. In his acceptance speech he thanked all of his fellow coaches for helping him develop as a coach.
"I just thought when I did the Traineeship, it was something I would do and then just move on."
"I didn't have direction but then I started to believe in myself and coaching became something I believed I could do. It gave me direction. Thanks to all of you that have helped me learn and become the coach I am."
Congratulations to Nasia, it is well deserved!
