Swimming is a great way to get fit or improve fitness regardless of age and ability. Here at Kensington Leisure Centre we have three pools and options to get everyone in the pool. At Kensington Leisure Centre we have three Swimming Pools. A 25m competition pool, 20m teaching pool and leisure pool. We work closely with Swim England to provide lessons for both adults and children of all abilities to get all swimming.

 

 

Swim For Fitness

Swimming is a great low impact way to get fit and healthy. The Swim for Fitness sessions at Kensington Leisure Centre take place in slow, medium and fast lanes, so you can take things at your own pace.

Swimming Lessons

Swimming is a vital life skill and it is accessible for everyone in their local pool. That's why Better offers swimming lessons for all ages and abilities, at affordable prices.

We are the largest provider of swimming lessons in the UK. Across the country, we help over 135,000 people learn to love the water and keep active, by becoming capable and confident swimmers.


We have lessons for children and adults which help get people confident in the water, learn and improve techniques.

Our Learn to Swim Framework is designed by industry experts to ensure the lessons are of the highest quality, progressive and make our pupils journey fun and hassle free.

Help Us Keep Your Pool Clean

  • Shower thoroughly from ‘top to toe’ with soap before entering the pool to remove deodorant, cosmetics and perspiration
  • Use the toilet facilities before your swim and remember to wash your hands thoroughly with soap
  • Babies should wear tight-fitting waterproof baby trunks whilst swimming rather than nappies
  • Please dispose of nappies, trunks and sanitary products in the bins provided
  • Do not swim if you have consumed a meal within the last two hours
  • Never swim if you have consumed alcohol or are under the influence of drugs
  • Do not swim if you are currently suffering from a cold or flu
  • Do not swim if you have suffered from food poisoning or diarrhoea within the last 14 days
