National Fitness Day on Wednesday 7th September will see a huge range of free events and taster sessions take place across the country.  Better are providing free activities for everyone as part of their involvement in National Fitness Day, helping more people get active more often and make it the most active day of the year in the UK. 

This year’s National Fitness Day, the biggest annual celebration of fitness and physical activity across the UK, will see leading retailer Argos become the headline partner, as well as offering a whole host of exciting activities throughout its 842 stores.

Better – the UK’s largest network of public gyms and leisure centres – are participating in this year’s National Fitness Day at over 90 leisure centres across the UK, including Canons Leisure Centre, which follows on from Better’s involvement in the nation’s biggest sports day, I Am Team GB. 

Canons leisure centre is running fitness activities from 10am to 8:30pm featuring sports and activities for the whole family to join in with, including; fitness such as Total Body Conditioning and Power Pump as well as 7 aside football on the 3G MUGA pitches, with the aim to inspire people to get moving while making it easy and fun to try something new. 

Tyron Fuller, General Manager for Canons Leisure Centre, said, “All staff at Canons Leisure Centre are proud to be part of National Fitness Day, hosting an array of free sessions and tasters.  “We’re inviting our local residents and members to come and try the different activities along side our staff and join in with this UK-wide celebration of fitness and physical activity, and see what we have on offer in the centre for all family members throughout the rest of the year.”
