Team Newham takes part in the London Mini-Marathon Championships!
On Saturday the 25th of April Team Newham ascended upon Horse Guards Parade for the annual London Mini-Marathon Championships. The event sees talented runners from all across the UK come together to race the final 2.6km of the iconic London Marathon route.
This year Newham had 30 children selected to represent the borough, a huge leap from last year where there were only 8 children signed up for the event. Even better is the fact that last year there were no girls signed up for the event, and this year there were 16 girls in the team making up more than half the squad.
All members of the team ran excellently with some great results across the age groups. Feedback from parents and runners alike was extremely positive with many of them expressing how much they enjoyed being part of the event and how much they are looking forward to next years race.
