Looking for a way to beat the heat and stay active over the school holidays? Dive into fun at Atherton, East Ham and Newham Leisure Centres with an exciting range of Swim for All and Family Fun Swim sessions—perfect for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Whether you're looking to build water confidence, refine your strokes, or simply enjoy a relaxed swim with family and friends, Swim for All sessions offer a welcoming environment for everyone.
If you're after something a little more lively, Family Fun Swim sessions bring extra excitement with floats, toys and at selected centres, waterslides and inflatables.
Available at all three leisure centres, these sessions are ideal for casual swimming, stroke improvement, or simply unwinding in the pool.

This February half term the Better Newham Active Communities team has got you covered with a wide range of free activities for your children. We are bringing in specialist sports coaches. These clubs will be delivering high quality coaching sessions with a focus on their sport whilst also integrating fun games and other sports.
These activities are a great way to keep your kids entertained in a safe, friendly environment. Thanks to Better’s partnership with Newham Council we can offer these community sessions completely free of charge!
East Ham Lesiure Centre
Multisports sessions for ages 9am -11am for ages 5-11 and 11am-1pm for ages 12-17, Monday 30th March - Thursday 2nd April & Tuesday 7th April - Friday 10th April.
Forest Gate Youth Zone
Multisports sessions for ages 10-17 run from 12pm-4pm, Tuesday 31st March - Thursday 2nd April & Tuesday 7th April - Friday 10th April.

At Atherton Leisure Centre we invest in our women and girls by running dedicated sessions to enjoy swimming in a safe, fun and supportive environment. Activities include swimming, gym workouts and swim lessons.
You'll find not only dedicated women only gym sessions in the newly refurbsihed gym at Newham Leisure Centre, but also a dedicated gym space located in the Mulit-Sports Centre.
Across leisure centres in Newham we believe in helping all ages stay fit and healthy and that is why we offer Junior Gym sessions for children aged 11-17 years. Anyone who plans to attend one of these sessions are required to book a Junior Gym induction after signing up to the Junior membership and prior to attending their first session.
Adult and Junior Gym Sessions
Keep your family active by working out together in our adult and junior gym sessions. Juniors must be supervised at all times by the adult accompanying them (the supervising adult is required to be a paying member to attend). Juniors are required to book into this session and must have completed an induction.
Help your child learn to swim with our Intensive Swimming Crash Course. These daily 30-minute lessons are designed to build water confidence and enhance swimming skills quickly.
We offer sessions for complete beginners as well as refresher classes for those already enrolled in Better's Swim School.
Spaces are limited, book in advance to avoid missing out.

At Atherton, children can enjoy a multi-tiered play area featuring a submarine tunnel, rope bridge, wavy slides and plenty of obstacles for active fun and adventure.
The brand-new Soft Play at Newham Leisure Centre offers multi-level frames, slides, tunnels and a dedicated toddler and baby area (under 2s), all set within a safe, padded environment for peace of mind.
Wherever you visit, it’s the perfect place for kids to stay active, explore, and have fun in a bright and welcoming space.
