Sports Hall Activities
Badminton 40mins or 60mins- We can host up to four games of badminton here at Abraham Moss, with lines and markings available for both singles and doubles games.
No strings badminton- A drop in session for adults and children who may want to come badminton but have no one to share a court with. We offer 15 spaces bookable through the app.

Lessons and Courses
Learn to swim with Better Swim School so your children learn this important life skill. The Better Swim School programme focuses on a set of achievements linked to a set of skills and distances achieved. All abilities are catered for at Better with lessons designed for children up to adults.
We offer short term courses during school holidays for the eager children who love swimming and want to progress with Better.
We offer Level Water and 1-2-1’s for children who may need the extra help, Your child will have a private 30minute lesson with one teacher in the water with them.
We also offer Basketball lessons for children who love to be on a court and practice their dribbling skills and shooting hoops.

Please note, under 8's and non swimmers 11-17 must be accompanied in the water by a competent adult swimmer on a 2:1 ratio.
Adult and Junior Gym
At Abraham Moss Leisure Centre, juniors aged 11 and over are able to attend the centre outside of traditional junior gym hours, provided they attend with a parent or guardian.
Both the adult and the junior must book into a session, but you do not need to be members to do this and you can just book the pay as you go session.

Junior Gym and Inductions
Junior Gym benefits 11 to 17 year olds both physically and mentally, as well as providing a safe space to meet new friends. With a qualified instructor present for all of the sessions and an induction prior to the session mandatory for all participants, get your teenager active at Junior Gym. We also provide specific sessions in our programmable gym for girls only, which run at exactly the same times!

All juniors must book this induction prior to their first Junior Gym session. Our Junior Gym inductions take place Monday to Friday from 15:30 - 18:30
Swim Sessions
We have a wide range of swim sessions avaliable for Juniors to come to on Monday's to Friday's after School and on weekend so they can have exercise and have fun all rolled into one with their friends.
We offer free swims for juniors under 17 who live in the borough or district during 11:00- 13:00 on a Saturday, 13:00- 15:00 on a Sunday and during school holidays. To be eligible, the young person needs to be registered and a qualifying MCRactive card. This can be signed up to online, or in person at the centre.
Swim for all is our most popular Junior swim session.
What is Swim for All?
Its a General swim session for all ages and abilities for fun and fitness.
One competent adult (16yrs+) swimmer may supervise up to 2 under 8's or non swimmers under 16 at a time.
Your 1 hour booking includes changing time.

Lego and Games Club

At Abraham Moss Library we are holding fun way for children to learn and socialise through Lego and games which are provided by the Library. Your child can create their own creations and play with others and show their creations to others.
Why not take a tour of our library and see the amazing space your child could learn, play and socialise.
Chess Club
What is chess?
Chess in an abstract strategy game and one of the oldest and most popular board games in the world. It is played by two opponents on a checkered board with specially designed pieces in contrasting colours. The objective of the game is to capture the opponents King!
When is it?
Tuesdays from 15:00pm to 18:00pm

Does it cost?
No it is absolutely free! All equipment provided , and a member of the library team will be on hand to help explain the rules. There is no need to book, just drop in!
