East Manchester Leisure Centre on Grey Mare Lane brings swimming and fitness to Beswick, walking distance from the Etihad Stadium. Our gym has cardio machines and free weights , while the 25-metre pool is perfect for lane swimming and lessons. There's also a teaching pool with an adjustable floor and a dedicated water polo pool that's 2 metres deep throughout. Classes include group cycle, yoga, Pilates and strength conditioning all week, with aqua sessions in the pool and programmes for over-50s. We run a busy swim school for kids and offer junior fitness sessions alongside birthday party packages. This facility is part of a unique collection of community and elite facilities governed by Manchester Active, a not for profit organisation established and overseen by Manchester City Council.
