In recent years, the National Squash Centre and Regional Arena have been taking significant steps towards a more sustainable, net zero future, reflecting one of our core values: "Respecting the Planet."

As part of this commitment, the centre has benefited from the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, in partnership with Manchester City Council. This funding supports improvements that reduce carbon emissions by increasing the energy efficiency of our buildings and replacing fossil fuel-based heating systems with more sustainable alternatives.

The centre has also been included in the Capital Investment Project, through which LED lighting has been installed throughout the facility. These upgrades reduce energy consumption while creating a brighter and more efficient environment for everyone who uses the centre.

We are also committed to promoting sustainable travel. The campus offers cycle-friendly routes and secure bike storage outside the centre, making it easier for visitors and colleagues to travel by bicycle. In addition, we encourage customers and staff to make use of the excellent public transport links, with bus and tram services conveniently stopping just outside the stadium.

Together, these initiatives are helping us reduce our environmental impact while creating a more sustainable future for our community.
