GLL Sport Foundation Athlete Secures World Championship Silver in Argentina
With just over a month to go until the GLL Sport Foundation application window opens again, we are delighted to celebrate an outstanding achievement by one of its Lincolnshire supported athletes, who has finished as runner-up in the 2026 FIM Flat Track World Championship following the final two rounds of the season in Argentina.
Competing aboard the Triumph TF450, Jack Bell delivered an impressive weekend of performances against some of the world's best riders. Saturday's action on the challenging TT layout saw him secure a well-earned third-place podium finish, setting up a thrilling conclusion to the championship campaign.
Sunday brought another fiercely contested battle, with the rider narrowly missing out on another podium place. However, the points gained throughout the weekend were enough to seal an incredible second place overall in the World Championship standings, marking the culmination of a remarkable season.
Reflecting on the achievement, Jack spoke of his pride in securing the World Championship silver medal and highlighted the significance of racing the Triumph TF450, a machine from their favourite manufacturer, on such a prestigious stage.
Jack also paid tribute to those who helped make the season possible, thanking Dick Shepherd for his belief and support, alongside their dedicated team, sponsors and everyone involved throughout the year. Special thanks were also extended to Radikal Racing in Argentina for the loan of the bike that helped power the campaign's successful conclusion.
Beyond the racing, Jack described the experience in Argentina as unforgettable, praising the warm welcome received from local people and the country's passion for motorcycle racing.
The GLL Sport Foundation is proud to support talented athletes on their journey to success, and this latest achievement demonstrates the impact that investment, opportunity and dedication can have in helping athletes compete at the highest level.
To finish the season with a race podium, a World Championship silver medal and memories that will last a lifetime is a tremendous accomplishment. Everyone at the GLL Sport Foundation congratulates Jack on an exceptional season and looks forward to following his continued success in the years ahead.
