NIcks boxing journey

One of our very own team members, Nick Arkell, went above and beyond supporting our companies designated charity Cancer Research UK. Nick wanted to challenge himself by taking part in a charity boxing event with Ultra White Collar Boxing team St Albans.

The training for the event lasted for 8 weeks which consisted of extremely intense training with the experienced Combat Coach at Combat Gym St Albans. After 8 weeks of training Nick amongst 41 others, fought at the prestigious Batchwood Hall which all money raised at this event was in support of CRUK. 

Nick’s participation in this event has helped raise an amazing amount of £110,000 for team St Albans, and over £20million across the UK.

Nick put on an amazing performance against a strong and worthy opponent, showing an enormous amount of heart.

The fight resulted in a draw and without a doubt was one of the most technical fights of the night. All of the team at Hatfield Leisure Centre are very proud of Nick!
