What an exciting February for the Tennis department at Gosling Sports Park!

Gosling Sports Park's Tennis Academy  hosted the UK Pro League Tennis Tour on the 21st of February which lasted for 1 week, with some amazing and talented players!

The UK Pro League runs a 12 week long event throughout the year bringing together some the UK’s top male and female professional players culminating in a prestigious finals week at the end of the year.

Previous winners of the UK Pro League include US Open champion Emma Raducanu and Great Britain Davis cup player Liam Broady.

Week 3 hosted at Gosling Sports Park Tennis Academy was streamed live on BT Sport and brought together 24 male and female professionals including 3 players competing on home turf from Gosling tennis academy; Charlie Broom, Lauren John-Baptiste and Daniel Daley.

It was a great week of high level competitive matches which created a great atmosphere within the park, the event was both entertaining and inspirational to our  club members and junior academy players. The academy at Gosling has a great history of developing players with the ambition of playing professionally all the way through their journey as a player as well as supporting professional world ranked players so it was great for everyone involved with the academy; members, coaches, players, parents, to see professional players competing at their home centre.

It was a great week for the Gosling Tennis Academy players Charlie Broom and Lauren John Baptiste who both finished in 3rd place – Well done to both and we look forward to seeing these players have more success over the coming months as they move into the summer and a busy schedule of competition.

Congratulations to week 3 champions Brandon Murphy and Andre Lukosuite who both had standout weeks and played some great tennis a long the way to pick up the titles.

Gosling Sports Park looks forward to hosting more events like this in the future.
