Cockermouth Leisure Centre 10K 2019

A fantastic day was had by all at our 10K run last Sunday, 17th March 2019. The weather was kind and although showers were forecast, the rain held off and the sun made a small appearance. This was the second year Cockermouth Leisure Centre has held this popular event, with entries selling out within weeks. 

Bruce Hardy won the overall event, smashing our previous course records in a awesome time of 36.07 minutes, along with Gary Stephenson in second and George Fawkes in third. The first lady home was Nadia Shaw who raced in at time of 40.24 with Natalie McCarron in second and Beverly Smith in third.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank all the runners, marshals and volunteers for making this event a memorable success. Preparations are underway for 2020, we hope to see you all there.
