Starting from July in club, we did not have a challenge as the centre was heavily focussed on the refurb going on! With brand new kit and a whole new studio, the challenge was seeing what you wanted to use first!

Going into August, we had the Sandbag steeple! the 18" box was propped up on its side, and members were challenged to bring the 20KG core bag from one side to the other as many times as possible in a minute! The mens winner for hte first time this year was mike, and on the womens side, carrying on the dominence from the sisters, was Emily!

Looking at Septmeber we decided to get everyone into our brand new group cycle studio and the challenge was "spin bike blast" where you would have as long as you wanted to hit top speed on the highest gear you could, this was usually about 10 second before you would blow out! The mens winner for this challenge was Phil and on the womens side, one last time for the year was Amy!

Going into october where we always run 2 challenges alonside eachother, bu tour main challenge for the month was the pause and press, testing your shoulder stength having 30% of your body on the bar how many reps you can do until failiure! The mens winner was Amrit and on the womens side it was Kirpa after just losing out on the challenge the month before came in and won this one!

Nearly at the end of the year, November saw us do the Core bag box clash, with the 20kg corebag on your back, you were stepping up onto a box, and the number of step ups you could do in 30 seconds would be your score for the challenge! James S winning this one for the men, and Sarah coming in and winning her first challenge of the year right before the end!

Finally in december we had the rightly names mince pie pile, with a 20kg bumper plate held in a bicep hold, 4 boxes of mince pies were stacked on top, you would be holding the mince pies for as long as possible until your body eventually gave in, we got some really good scores from this challenge, with big dave bringing up the win for the men and sarah going back to back to finish the year off!

2026 has started with a very different challnege, "the deck of exercise" testing your endurance as well as your luck! draw 3 cards from the deck, creating a gauntlet of exercises to complete back to back bringing yourself a time to be put on the leaderboard!
