Be active tennis - older adults activity is back at Better bodmin leisure centre

With restrictions lifted, Bodmin Leiusre Centre has taken the opportunity to re-engage its Be Active Club members in face to face activities. Through support funding from Government's Tackling Inequalities Fund, Bodmin LC were able throughout Lockdown 3.0 staff were able to maintain its connections with its Pre Covid Be Active Club members. Offering a weekly get together and low level activity session virtually. As soon as restrictions lifted those attending regularly the virtual sessions were keen to get back to face to face activity.

Low Level Tennis was a particular activity that the group wanted to restart, enter Bodmin’ s Tennis Manager Steve Holmes who was keen to provide sessions. The sessions are aimed at adults aged 50+ who are inactive, new, with long term health conditions or beginners.

Come and join the Be Active Tennis Group, every Tuesday 1pm – 2pm. The sessions are delivered by a LTA Accredited + tennis coach in a fun and socialised environment.
